Job Summary

Elite Medical Staffing is hiring Occupational Therapists (OTs) for skilled nursing opportunities in Puyallup, WA. This position offers competitive pay, consistent scheduling, and the opportunity to work a dedicated assignment with one of our healthcare partners.

Responsibilities
An OT working a contract through Elite Medical Staffing at a skilled nursing facility may be expected to:

  • Evaluate residents' functional abilities and identify barriers to independence and safety
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve performance of activities of daily living and other functional tasks
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance residents' functional independence and quality of life
  • Assess and recommend adaptive equipment, assistive devices, and environmental modifications
  • Monitor resident progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and safety strategies
  • Accurately document evaluations, treatment sessions, and resident outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory requirements, and professional practice standards
  • Communicate concerns or issues to onsite supervisor and agency
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working under an active OT license
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in skilled nursing
  • Must have reliable transportation to assigned facilities
  • Must maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Able to push, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds
  • Able to be standing and walking with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting with proper body mechanics
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Willing to complete background and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws and regulations


Credentials Required

  • Active and unencumbered WA OT License or Compact OT License
  • Government-Issued Photo ID or Passport
  • CPR/BLS
  • Resume
  • Additional credentials may be required based on facility placement
