Job Summary 
Elite Medical Staffing is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for long-term care opportunities in Newark, OH. This position offers flexible scheduling, competitive pay, and the ability to pick up shifts that fit your availability.

Responsibilities 

A CNA picking up shifts through Elite Medical Staffing at a long-term care facility may be expected to:

  • Utilize EMR [Matrix] to record patients’ medical information and vital signs

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

  • Provide mobility assistance, transfers, repositioning, and support with ambulation as needed
  • Obtain and document vital signs and other resident observations as assigned
  • Monitor residents and report changes in condition, behavior, or overall well-being to the nursing team
  • Respond promptly to resident requests and provide compassionate resident-centered care
  • Assist residents with meals, hydration, and feeding support when needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful living environment
  • Maintain compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Communicate concerns or issues to onsite supervisor and agency
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications 
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working under an active CNA Certification 
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in long-term care
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required 
  • Must have reliable transportation to assigned facilities 
  • Must maintain consistent attendance and punctuality 
  • Able to push, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds 
  • Able to be standing and walking with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting with proper body mechanics 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States 
  • Willing to complete background and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws and regulations 
 
Credentials Required 
  • Active and unencumbered OH CNA Certification 
  • Government-Issued Photo ID or Passport 
  • CPR/BLS 
  • Tuberculosis (TB) Test 
  • Covid-19 Vaccine (religious/medical exemptions accepted) 
  • Physical
  • Additional credentials may be required based on facility placement
