Job Summary
Elite Medical Staffing is hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) for an OR in Waterbury, CT. This position offers competitive pay, consistent scheduling, and the opportunity to work a dedicated assignment with one of our healthcare partners.

Responsibilities
An RN picking up travel assignments for the Operating Room may be expected to:
- Utilize EMR to record patients’ medical information and vital signs
- Assess patients and review medical history, allergies, labs, and surgical documentation.
- Verify patient identity, procedure, surgical site, and consent.
- Prepare the operating room, equipment, instruments, and supplies.
- Maintain sterile technique and infection-control standards.
- Assist with patient positioning and surgical preparation.
- Serve as circulating and/or scrub nurse as assigned.
- Assist the surgical team and anticipate needs throughout procedures.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience working under an active RN license
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in an OR
- Must have reliable transportation to assigned facilities
- Must maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
- Able to push, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds
- Able to be standing and walking with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting with proper body mechanics
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Willing to complete background and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
Credentials Required
- Active and unencumbered CT RN License or Compact RN License
- Government-Issued Photo ID or Passport
- CPR/BLS
- Tuberculosis (TB) Test
- Flu Vaccine (during Flu season)
- Covid-19 Vaccine (religious/medical exemptions accepted)
- Resume
- Additional credentials may be required based on facility placement
