Job Summary
Elite Medical Staffing is hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) for a telemetry unit in Waterbury, CT. This position offers competitive pay, consistent scheduling, and the opportunity to work a dedicated assignment with one of our healthcare partners.

Responsibilities
An RN picking up travel assignments on a Telemetry Unit may be expected to:
- Utilize EMR to record patients’ medical information and vital signs
- Assess and monitor patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring
- Interpret and respond to cardiac rhythm changes and other clinical findings
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as prescribed
- Monitor patient progress and communicate significant changes in condition
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families regarding cardiac health and treatment plans
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes
- Communicate concerns or issues to onsite supervisor and agency
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory requirements, and professional practice standards
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience working under an active RN license
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in tele
- Must have reliable transportation to assigned facilities
- Must maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
- Able to push, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds
- Able to be standing and walking with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting with proper body mechanics
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Willing to complete background and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
Credentials Required
- Active and unencumbered CT RN License or Compact RN License
- Government-Issued Photo ID or Passport
- CPR/BLS
- Tuberculosis (TB) Test
- Flu Vaccine (during Flu season)
- Covid-19 Vaccine (religious/medical exemptions accepted)
- Resume
- Additional credentials may be required based on facility placement
