Job Summary

Elite Medical Staffing is hiring Speech Language Pathologist (SLPs) for skilled nursing opportunities in Sullivan, MO. This position offers competitive pay, consistent scheduling, and the opportunity to work a dedicated assignment with one of our healthcare partners.

Responsibilities

An SLP working contract through Elite Medical Staffing at a skilled nursing facility may be expected to:

  • Utilize EMR to record patients' medical information and vital signs
  • Evaluate residents for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address identified communication and swallowing needs
  • Provide speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing therapy based on resident needs and treatment goals
  • Assess swallowing function and recommend appropriate dietary modifications and swallowing strategies
  • Monitor resident progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical findings and goals
  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and communication strategies
  • Accurately document evaluations, treatments, and resident outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory requirements, and professional practice standards
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working under an active SLP license
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in skilled nursing
  • Must have reliable transportation to assigned facilities
  • Must maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Able to push, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds
  • Able to be standing and walking with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting with proper body mechanics
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Willing to complete background and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws and regulations


Credentials Required

  • Active and unencumbered MO SLP License or Compact License
  • Government-Issued Photo ID or Passport
  • CPR/BLS
  • Resume
  • Additional credentials may be required based on facility placement
